The LERRN project is formed by a team of researchers and professionals committed to promoting protection and solutions with and for refugees. It is headquartered at Carleton University, and programs are developed and implemented by 16 working groups and 80 partners in 18 countries around the world. It aims to mobilize a global partnership that encompasses a wide range of perspectives, generates new forms of knowledge, and brings together diverse actors in the design and promotion of transformative yet practical responses to forced migration.
LERRN Regional School
The School, in addition to strengthening scientific-academic cooperation between networks, will focus on the different local experiences of engagement with refugees and displaced persons in various regions and localities of the Global South.
Objectives
Training of human resources, the promotion of innovative knowledge, and the production of quality scientific research on the international refugee regime and the (inter)national protection of the human rights of migrants, asylum seekers, and refugees in and from the Global South
The goal is to promote the development and strengthening of (inter)national and interinstitutional networks.
The First Edition in Latin America
Within the scope of LERRN, other Regional Schools will be organized in different regions of the planet. In this case, within the scope of the (Inter)national Seminar being proposed here, the Spring School will focus primarily on experiences in and from Brazil and Latin America.
